He is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, Minnesota, where he received his bachelor's degree in Management. Joel lives in the Denver metro area with his wife, Ingrid, and their two children, Abigail and Ezekiel. He is involved with the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce and enjoys spending time outdoors and playing music during his free time.
